SALA (South Australian Living Artists) Festival on during the month of August is fairly hard to miss. Over its life it has gradually taken over Adelaide city and has spread its exhibition outcomes as far as the hills and as wide as the coast. We knew that in.Studio would make a perfect gallery space for an artist during SALA, and we wanted to find someone really special to present their work here. And we did (just saying).
When Fleur Elise Noble approached us with a vision to exhibit her creations that include sculpture, sketches and paintings from miniature to huge – it was an obvious fit. Originally from Adelaide, Fleur has been making work all over the world, but this is the first time that she has brought all her works together into one exhibition space - which is super exciting.
The sheer volume of Fleur’s work doesn’t fit in the studio space and so it will spill out into the cafe space as well. It will be open 3rd-30th August Monday-Saturday, with special events each Saturday.
Come and have a look, grab a coffee or a glass of wine and get a glimpse inside this remarkable artist’s processes, passions, curiosities and obsessions.
Fleur Elise Noble, best known for her visual-theatre productions, has performed at over 50 venues and festival around the world. During the creation process, and in her spare time, Fleur obsessively draws, paints and sculpts. She spent the past 12 years travelling the world, while her father suffered the burden of trying to find new space in the closet or under the staircase to accommodate her constantly expanding collection of creations. Until now...
